6 word memoir de-briefs

What did I learn about storytelling ?
By doing this project I learned that storytelling doesn't always have to be a long story. A story can be as little as 6 words, and it still makes sense. As long as you add the appropriate punctuation. I also learned that story telling is really quite difficult if your not 100% focused. I find it hard because you don't have enough words to explain yourself.

Where did I show my knowledge about using storytelling skills ?
I used my storytelling skills by using the appropriate punctuation and also putting my point across with only 6 words. I found only using 6 words to create a message was very difficult so by summing up all the ideas into 6 words per picture wasn't easy.

What did I learn as a reader, writer, thinker, and storyteller ?
As a reader I learned that you have to look/read outside the box, or read between the lines. With only 6 words to explain a story is very difficult so it takes an open mind and imagination. As a writer, and as a thinker I learned that you really have to be creative and make them all work together. As a storyteller I learned that there is so many different things you can do to improve your story, ex. Punctuation.

Quick write: Medical emergency response traveling by dinosaur.

I lay on my back and just listen; listening to every single noise around me. One particularly stands out, a cry, almost a whimper. Its fairly close to the window. I glance to my right to discover that its 4:00 am. No, he can wait for a few more hours. Trying to slip back into my slumber, the crying gets louder. Sure enough the phone starts to ring. I roll myself to the closest side where the phone is. My body is sore from head to toe- i need to invest in some new equipment for riding i think.
"Dr. Cohn speaking" My greeting is always formal.
I listen very closely to the voice on the other line and quickly hang up once I've understood the message. i jump out of bed and throw on a clean pair of clothes. Racing out towards the whimper i say,
"okay boy, you ready?" i don't think he's ever been so excited to see me. I feed him an apple i was able to snatch from the kitchen on my way out. His response makes my laugh.
i suit him up, put all the medical tools i need on his right side, and all extras on the left. I set the latter on his left side, careful not to set it on his huge toe. It usually takes me about 5 minutes to get on him comfortably. When i sit down on his back, the sensation of the pain comes rushing back- i definitely have to invest in some new riding gear.
"Alright boy, you know what to do. Lets go!"

The big blue dinosaur thumps into the sunrise, about to fulfill his duty.

Quick write-robot

My future robot will have many talents, including to help my with my time management. It will schedule all my appointments in the future when i have a successful career. It will also help me with planning events and organizing the "small details". This robot will be of great assistance as far as helping me with everyday life as i need. It will listen to me and obey everything i say to it. It wont be too bulky or big, a normal size, definitely smaller than your average human. Its only motive will be to make my life easier in the future because i'll be very busy and a robot like this will cost a lot of money. This robot will be designed by experts, nothing will go wrong, it will be fool proof.

Six Word Memoirs #8

Authors note:
This picture was taken at my cabin this past summer. The reason why i chose this picture is because it has a sense of calmness and peacefulness. "The journey has yet to begin..." refers to everyday life in general, but can also relate to the lake. You see what is in the picture frame but we don't see whats beyond the frame. The "..." was added in there because we're waiting for the journey to begin so its very open ended. i chose not to edit this picture because i loved the original copy i didn't want to take away from the original colour.

Six Word Memoirs #7

Authors note:
I love this picture ! i love the way the text is big and sprawled on the picture and i like the texture of the picture. I decided lower case letters for this picture because i wanted it to be a little more girly (if that makes sense). its just such a happy picture (and that tea was delicious too!) This picture was taken at Baked Expectations in Osborne Village. I added the comma because imagined people to say the phrase "is tea" to be softer then the rest.
